Guide — Employee Portal

How your employees use the BauFin portal

The employee portal gives your staff secure access to work hours, vacation, pay slips and documents. Each employee logs in with their own credentials — you keep full control over all permissions.

Dashboard & time account

After login, the employee sees their personal dashboard: hours worked, target hours (BRTV 38h/41h), vacation balance and last net pay. The working time account shows overtime (month/year) and the surcharge-free limit of 150 hours.

Log work hours

Daily time tracking: start, end, break. Night work (20:00–05:00) and public holidays are detected automatically. At month end, download the time sheet as PDF — for signature and archiving (ArbZG).

Request vacation

Submit vacation requests directly in the portal. Current balance (30 days/year per BRTV §8), submitted and approved requests. You get an ntfy push notification and can approve or decline.

View pay slips

Monthly pay slips with full breakdown: gross pay, KV/RV/AV/PV individually, income tax (BMF PAP 2026 algorithm), solidarity surcharge, church tax and net pay. Every slip available as PDF — compliant with §108 GewO.

Download documents

All documents uploaded by the employer: employment contract, instant registration, certificates, training records. Download with one click.

Messages

Direct communication with the employer through the portal — no WhatsApp, no email. All messages are logged. The employer receives an ntfy push notification.
